The wedding and reception are being held at:
Galapagos Art Space
70 North 6th Street
Brooklyn, New York
This is in fashionable, soon-to-be-gentrified Williamsburg, easily accessible by subway and car.
By subway:
Take the L to Bedford. Coming from Manhattan, it's the first stop in Brooklyn. Coming from Brooklyn, it's the last stop before Manhattan. (Funny how that works, hunh?) As it will be Saturday, you will only be able to use the Bedford Avenue exit. So, use it. When you get the street, you will be on the corner of Bedford and North 7th Street. If you are facing Northside Pharmacy on one corner and the Salvation Army on another, you are facing West, which you should do. Turn South onto Bedford. After one block, turn right (or West) onto North 6th Street. yYou will pass hip bars, cool stores, and an American Apparel. Don't stop. Galapagos is two and half blocks West, between Wythe and Kent on the left. There is a large, vertical banner hanging out front.
By car:
Coming from Manhattan, you should take the subway. But if you must drive, take the Williamsburg Bridge, making sure that you are in the outer right hand lane. Get off at the first exit, curving around to the right until you are on Broadway. At the second stoplight, turn right onto Bedford. Drive up Bedford to North 6th Street. Turn left onto North 6th, and go two and a half blocks. Galapagos is between Wythe and Kent on the left. There is a large, vertical banner hanging out front.
From the BQE--if you're headed West--take the Metropolitan Avenue exit. This will put you on Meeker Avenue. At the 2nd stoplight, take a sharp right onto North 6th Street. Galapagos is between Wythe and Kent on the left. There is a large, vertical banner hanging out front.
From the BQE--if you're headed East--take the Metropolitan Avenue exit. At the 1st stoplight, turn left, and continue on Metropolitan for 5 blocks. Turn right onto Bedford Avenue, and then left onto North 6th Street. Galapagos is between Wythe and Kent on the left. There is a large, vertical banner hanging out front.
