bow ties and breakdowns

my gosh, there are so many things to think of when planning, preparing for your wedding. who knew? tons and tons of little and big things. i think i have 4 lists going right now (all on the kitchen counter) of what we need to do, buy, get done, make, decopauge, string together, mix and match, clean, wash, bedazzle, find matching fabric for, dry clean, make phone calls for, type up, photograph, order online, return to the store, call a friend about, email, blog, ask a sales associate, look in a catalogue, draw a sketch of, make a blueprint of, write out, find a recipe for, create an ipod playlist of, and on top of that hermia needs a bath!
i know i've said it before, but i'll say it again. thank heavens for our wonderful and supportive and generous friends.
ted and i are heading out today to pick up our rings and to find bowties and shoes for our suits. because, according to Etiquette Grrl Style webpage: "if you want to be Really Original and Snappy, at a daytime informal wedding, nothing beats a Seersucker Suit, Straw Boater, White Bucks, and a Bow Tie."
well, the Straw Boater may be pushing it, huh?
oh, and hey, while searching online for all things wedding, i came across a really lovely blog by two very sweet guys who got married last year. they blogged about the whole procedure--from the proposal to the ceremony and reception. (they started planning their wedding, even sending out save the date cards, and looking into spaces and hotels, 2 YEARS IN ADVANCE!!--JEESH!).
Anyway, read about their whole experience and see their pictures here. (you might click back to Sept. 2002, when they started their journey).

Thanks for the link! I guess I am the only one in the world who looks at calendars three years in advance. Congratulations, and enjoy your weekend! XOXO... Tim
