And so it begins

I sent this to a zillion people today. With luck, good things will come of it.
Dear Friends and Family,

As most of you know, Rob and I are getting married! If you didn't know, then, guess what? We're getting married! Anyway, because of multiple requests from family members in other states, we set a date: July 30, 2005. The little problem with that date is that we more-or-less pulled it out of a hat. We haven't found locations for the ceremony or the reception yet, let alone contracts for said locations. And we're at a loss of where to look, to start, to beg for a discount.

So, we're asking for your help. Do you have any suggestions?

We're looking for places that are either beautiful, unique, or perfect--or all of the above. Because it will be July 30, we'd like an outdoor option. We don't have too much money to spend. And we'd like the whole shebang to be accessible by New York public transportation.

We would also love any suggestions about everything else: how to run a cheap wedding buffet without calling Pizza Hut, who will do our flowers without doing us in, if any of you know a cool photographer known for something other than porn, etc.
Also, being the blog-dorks that we are, we've set up a wedding blog: http://williams.gideonse.com. We'll be posting our missives as well as missive-ing them, so you can email us back OR put a comment on the blog. How's that for high-tech?

Oh, and this is the unofficial "save the date" announcement. We'll send postcards or something when we know the fuck we're doing.

Love and kisses,

Ted & Rob

Hi Ted. Remember me, Heather I meet you at the beach last summer here in San Diego, (i have know Bob for many years) Well Wendy called and told me about the wedding last night. That is great. Well as for the wedding and needing help sorry San Diego is a bit far to help from but look into doing the flowers yourself or have a good friend do them for you. As for having the pictures done I have seen some of the best shots come from friends that are taking pictures at the wedding. Just make sure that if you hire someone to take pictures and they are using film (not Digital) that you have it written into the contract that you will recieve the negivates to the pictures. People like to charge extra but if you get it in writting it is better. Good luck and I will let you know if I think of anything else
